Just wondering if anyone knows of any ways to stop birds from nesting in a big row of conifers, their on for felling but I'm not going to be able to fit them in till April some time and I can imagine by then they will be teaming with life. Big nets arnt really an option and I read to much Gerald Durrell growing up to just chip them so any tips welcome!

Can you not swap your work around?

Tell next week's customers you have an emergency?

Or tell them the truth - loads of people understand wildlife issues.

Then tick off the urgent postponed jobs on Saturdays.

We've just done that where we had to take out 20 leylandii this week to beat the nesting dickies. Everyone was OK with it.

I'm subbing to another firm for the next couple of weeks, then I've got loads of postponed work locally to catch up on and more subbing to do not enough hours in the week can't do it on the weekend as we're going through another property for access. Will give the moving shiny things a try. Might just soak the trees in old spice, that usually keeps the birds away
