sg baker vented bags

Hi, was wondering if anyone could tell me if the sg baker fully vented bags are any good?and also if they are any better or worse than the mosquito mesh vented bags? Many thanks

I use the 28 stripe 0.8m3, some used 4/5 times

SG Baker make good bags, nice and cheap with strong handles, the only downside of not having mosquito sides is that logs tend to catch more on the striped bits when you are emptying them. They are nice and tough though.

Do they dry as well as they do in the mosquito neted ones

I have the knitted ones and they hold their shape better than the mosquito haven't used them long enough though to judge on their drying.

They are doing a trial at the moment using some of my logs to see how quickly the moisture content drops. I have used both Bag Supplies and S G Baker bags and both seem to be good for several fills. If you are careful with them they could last up to 20 fills. S G Baker do the true cubic meter bags which help with measuring loads. Make sure you get the ones with tipping loops on.

I had 100 from them last summer, 2 mesh + 2 28 stripe side when Bag Supplies ran out of green and then white ones.

 

Decent bags and work as well as Bag Supplies ones. The light mesh in any bag is always prone to a bit of damage when stacking from loader forks.

 

Would buy more especially if they did green ones, Bag Supplies have still not filled an outstanding order for green bags I placed a year ago.

I'm trialling bags from Fife. 0.75m3 with mosquito nets. Lots of distortion when lifting and stacking.
