Has anyone used it, ie ropeman on rope to assist pulling hitch climber up when ascending and pulling in slack, ie can get it to work but only if you pull small amounts of rope through directly in line with fairlead into hitchclimber.

New treemagineers shows it but only on dangling branches walking up?:blushing:

This is what i use virtually all the time now, gets rid of all the slack from your system whilst climbing. get rid of the ropeman and just use a bit of webbing and use a termiantion knot on your line and not a splice, this gets the system closer to you. I normally clip in to just one revolver but at the oz champs on the wekend i was made to clip into 2 due to bend radius.

So you can clip a bowline into one carabiner and that bend radius is fine, but you cant clip that into one carabiner? That doesnt seem to add up. :confused1:

i know mate! but i didnt want to argue with the head technician too much- it made unclipping after my work climb a right kafuffle-every second counts and all that... and gates had to be on opposing sides:thumbdown:

You could have used a long spliced eye, and turned the silver petzl ok in your pic upsidedown, and then to unclip from the system open the silver ok, release the eye, and split the system leaving the two revolvers on your bridge.

But only if id taken a rope with a long spliced eye to australia! i kind of prefer not using a splice in this setup as it makes the extension/shortening a bit more jerky, but i know what ya saying (stop making excuses:001_tongue:)!!
