In for a service, had a small nwiggle with drive. Sometimes it wont disengage straight away and the wheels will lock up and not go backwards

Often caused by a 'sticky' cable not releasing, or sometimes a sticking bail bar.

This is a weird year, service work has normally calmed down by this time, but these came in yesterday.

And of course, the owners are all desperate to get them back!

Hi all, I've been offered a Mountfield laser mower for £45 to do my 30x90 foot garden. I haven't seen it yet, anything to look out for? Should it be ok, or overkill? Thanks

Not the best mower, but adequate. If it works OK it will be worth having at £45.

Just the right size for your 300sq metres.

Just been to collect a honda mower, loaded it into the van then i asked the owner for the grass bag as i have always steam cleaned them as part of a service. He said last time someone else serviced it they never wanted it and would me cleaning it cost extra. Told him it was all in as part of the service. I cant believe another place would not clean the bag.

I'm starting to work my new mower hard. The Honda engine needs an oil change at 5 hours, SAE 5w 30. I was going to use some I've got for the car but my dealer wants sell me some Briggs and Straton.....

Any thoughts?

I have never known a UK dealer to stock a 5w30 Briggs and Stratton oil as all Briggs engines in this climate use SAE30 monograde.

Most Jap engines however need a multigrade 10w30 or 10w40.
