After all the recommends on here I have finally got a tin. Any special tips on application? I have used many oils over the years and most are similar. Put generous first coat leave for 10 mins or so and then wipe of excess repeat with thiner coat. Is this much the same?

I have two identical tables in the workshop that need finishing so planning a comparison with one being finished with my usual Liberon finishing oil and one with the Osmo. Pictures to follow in a few days.

Wipe on with a clean rag <not too generous,Little and often is best .Leave for a couple of minute and rub off the excess quite firmly

After 2 or 3 coats Buff up with a lint free rag ,and don't be shy with the elbow grease

I've recently had a thread about exactly the same subject. I applied second coat too thick and it simply wouldn't dry so had to use white spirit to remove it. However, the oil seriously brings out the grain and seems to work really well. I used the satin finish.
