so after my attempt at a work climb on friday which if im honest left me in bits, ive decided to start doing some training. so back to swimming once or twice a week and try and cut down on the old ciders in the evening for a start, but what else do people suggest

any help is greatly appreciated

get a haircut and have a shave, that should shed a few pounds mate:lol:

best thing mate is nordic walking, get a set of poles for 20quid from tescos and go for it, you will be amazed at how much you breath, sweat, speed up hills and dont get tired. i am feeling a bit sluggish myself these days mate, especially after this weekend, i better dig out the poles myself.:cool1:

ive got a 1975 race standard carlton continental behind the shed that just needs some work to get it back on the road. what does cadence mean

 

 

I've got a Carlton Professional in my shed, had it from new - although I wouldn’t ride it now as the lug work would probably fall to pieces!

 

Cadence – ride at a fairly high tempo, i.e. don’t use the big gears – too many people use huge gearing and bugger their knees up. If you use a low gear, it’ll work your heart and lungs at a much better rate (you’ll reduce body weight quicker too)
