Is willow any good to burn ?, I know it's a sod to split

It burns but needs at least 18/24 months seasoning. Burns quite fast too.

and is well seasoned

or it could have been Rudyard Kindling.

Split it when it's freshly cut down. Much easier to split and it will dry rather than rot.

Different types of logs could be compared to different types of cars.

 

They are all basically made of the same stuff.

 

Its how they are put together that determines how quick they get going and how long they last.
