Yes think we will both be getting the welders out tomorrow

a nice neat 2011 weld is in order i think :sneaky2:

how you getting on with finding chipper engine ?

Would be a shame to weld the date on mine as the paint is still tacky......would you believe its taken over 3 years for it to dry!;) lol!

Chipper is engineless untill I get some work coming in, as soon as I can afford it I will prob go for the 16hp Launtop single cylinder electric start. A guy replied to my thread about it (forgotten his name at the mo, sorry if your reading!). He was in the same boat and fitted one and aparently it workes fine. At the end of the day £500 for a new twin cylinder 20hp is a bargain but I just cant afford it, the single cylinder at £250 is still too much at the mo but atleast its more likely to happen at some point!

I just bought a truck mounted insulated fridge body for my nipper to use as a shed for his motorbike, that had a fridge powerpack on it with a tiny little water cooled electric start twin cylinder yanmar/kubota diesel engine, it has a belt drive off the back. Would this do the job?

It might do, do you know the Hp of it? A pic or anymore info? I have cut down the chipper body now and removed the canopy as it`s not required to fit a honda single engine. Mounting a diesel along with a radiator might be a bit of a task but worth thinking about!
