Picked one up in the shop yesterday. So light I am tempted to get one as my first top handle climbing saw. I know it hasn't got the power of others but I was tempted. Any views..?

Look at it as a mechanical Silky... Awesome saws for the right job... Light reductions, coni topping etc.

I love mine and its always in the truck, would say the ms200 gets 85% of the climbing jobs but when the jobs suits... the 150 is out. It also serves as a backup for the 200.

Would i get one as my only tophandle.... nope :)

Agreed. Mind you, it's way better than I thought it would be. Handled some gnarly old Oak pretty well. I wouldn't want to use it for larger work on a constant basis but for pruning, hedges, deadwooding etc it's a fantastic little back up saw.

Its good in the right conditions it's basically a chainsaw lopper ... I am in two minds about it on reductions though its light and easy to use but I have found it really inflames my tennis elbow although it is light you apply to much pressure to make it cut if that makes any sense! Also the potential to tear branches is higher as it won't cut fast enough to chase a cut in some heavier wood.

had one for a week or so and i find it a pleasure to use on smaller lighter jobs i got one with a 10 inch bar so far so good ! its like everything really the right tool for the job makes it so much easier .
