deisel welding set

anyone on here in the market for a diesel welder? shes a big old beast, powered by a 2cyl petter BA2, welding unit is a MAX ARC, MUSTANG. amp range is from 70amp to 300amp.

 

wanting £500ono for it, or swap for a 20or more hp diesel/petrol engine.

 

will put pics up if anyones interested. (if I can, lol)

You'll not do 'light' metal with a 70amp stick welder

Well did wonder what welder/rating I need, guess the big one will just blow holes! Done a little bit welding and now got stuff like forwarder headboard to weld and also light plate (approx 4mm thick) on another machine. Is there a decent welder I can plug into a generator?

You'll need a decent generator regardless (6KVA+) but a lot of the little inverter welders (InverterFusion, GYS ect) are pretty handy for that sort of thing. They will also run fine off a long extension lead.
