remember to keep in contact with the assessor. shout below before the branch is cut not as it thumps to the floor. i nearly failed for that.

but good point communication especially in the rescue

Good luck mate!

 

did mine last year and was v.nervous! but ended up being shocked at how easy it was! read the assesment schedule, know your knots, dont rush, keep talking.. its all common sense!

Hi Joe;

Take on board all the advise already given and don't be flippant about reading the NPTC schedule-all the answers are there for you-it's a simple case of memorising them.

Another point-when you are actually performing the rescue be sure to give loud and clear verbal instructions to the groundie i.e. "have you contacted emergency services?" along with positve encouragement for the person being rescued.Remember this is role play.
