LT20 WoodMizer hydraulics are manual?

Dave got a bit snippy, and referred me to their website:001_rolleyes: when I had the termity to request a detailed specification against his quoted price.

so am not asking him again.

Nor buying a WoodMizer either:001_tt2:

But I surmise the optional extra hydraulics on the LT20 are hydraulic hand pump powered, having carefully read and re-read all the very limited info available on their website.

regards,

Marcus

I was. . . happenstance.

looking at Cook's again.

But price against spec they are much of a muchness with TimberKing.

Plus Cooks suspend the hydraulics overhead on their lower priced mills (being 3 out of their 4 models) only the top spec HD36 mill gets the better arrangment as per TimberKings standard arrangment.

And I like my hydraulics neatly packaged in TK's "energy chain"

Thanks Jonothan.

I will look at Fuelwoods site, though I suspect the Autotrek mill bes well pricy.

I looked at the HD36, and whilst appreciating the battery stored energy being used to power the hydraulics, was attempting to avoid any 12V stuff if poss.

Plus a fully specced HD36 is the same kind of money as any other hyd mill.

Though at least I could buy the basic HD36 and "bolt-on" whatever extras I desired as required.

A sensible sales concept.

cheers

what about this

Portable Sawmills > H 360 | HUD-SON Forest Equipment

works out about £11k

i got a quote from them to ship me a hudson oscar 230 and it was $1000 usd ($300 carting which i presume is to get it from them to docks in usa) and $700 to ship to liverpool docs.

i delt with a guy called mark major, they are excellent, i'v bought a few smaller items from them and they dont bat an eyelid when i ask to ship to uk.

if you want his email address PM me,

Cheers.

PS only thing is its not CE marked.

Hud-son do have a UK distributer which import CE marked versions of certain mills for EU market - find them at Just Saws, hydraulic not listed over here...might be worth talking to their agent..

Couple of others that spring to mind SERRA (German) - see marshall logging website and pezzolato (Italien) and forestor - both on Saws UK Ltd Bandsaw Blades and Bandsaw Machines suppliers, UK.

Perhaps its about time we made a British one (apart from the engine...), been looking into this for a while - got 2 main hurdles to get head round - bandwheels and the issue of CE marking....
