I think I would sooner have the special than the X torque . The special is tried and tested and you can rely on it . The new X torque seems to be having a few problems by some accounts . As I understand it it needs some work on the transferees and it becomes a 372XP . Because of this I cant see the point of it really ....

The only point I see with the 365XT is that it makes a cheap 372xpXT, with very little modification.

I didn't realise. Mr Jones did them for that price!

Anyway just an update.

Got a mail back from them today.

It said that they had ordered 10 more saws today and would update the ad when they arrive with more pics.

Basically i don't think they have any in stock. Otherwise they would give me a serial number!!!. Just collecting money before they buy some. Whether they are genuine or not, who knows. I have told them this.

Anybody fancy contacting them and asking probing questions. Lets weasel them out. I will report their ad as dodgy tonight. Hopefully they will have to remove it

Yea I see that point ! :biggrin:Just did not see the point of Husky making it .

It's the same reason Porsche detunes their Cayman. Marketing. It creates a market and revenue. Only, the Cayman might not be the best example as it would be better than the 911 if it had the same motor since it is mid-engined, and we simply can not have that, can we?

Yea I see were yo are coming from marketing wise . Thing is any one who knows about it will just make it into a 372 ....Its the ordinary punters I suppose who make it worth their while .

Like you say Stubby why spend an extra £120 for a 372 when in 30mins u can turn a 365 into one. Even if you bought the 372 transfer covers it would still be cheaper than a 372. As said its a marketing gimmick whereby people buy labels. If its got xp on it it must be worth the extra and people will pay it.

You are right there wiseco . There is a train of thought that you get what you pay for and it is very true in most cases . Chinese saw comes to mind but there is also price snobbery . Would you believe when we were short of work we were pricing jobs just to get them hoping to get more work from it . That did not work . So we put our prices up and now we are going like a train ! .....

New x-torq? It's been about for years! In fact, I would go as far as mid 2000's! The strato engines made by husky have been proven and tested many times over, it's only stihl that struggles with them, but that's because husky owns the patent, they leased the idea out to stihl but 'forgot' to include engine timing.
