Yeah it is. The drugs seem to have been working. Got a pre booked consultants appointment on Friday anyway

Don't know you pal but sorry to hear. Technically speaking, I also have epilepsy. I don't often discuss this with people but thought I'd give you some input.

Thing is, I haven't had a seizure in 10 years now and whilst I'm on meds, it's a small dose and I've been driving for many years without issue.

Luckily, before I went onto meds in my mid teens, I was only having one day-time seizure about once every fortnight, and they were mild seizures, nothing dramatic. It was actually more common in my sleep which wasn't nice but it's fine now. I think I have what is called "complex partial" epilepsy.

I count myself as quite lucky in terms of epilepsy sufferers, because what I have, or had, was extremely mild compared to many epilepsy sufferers. But if you have to go on meds and they eradicate the fits, then do it. It's def worth it.

Sh*tter of a condition but that's life I suppose. Just remember, you're not the only one!

My Dad knows someone who suffered from epilepsy for years, but it suddenly disappeared later in life, so you never know.

Take it easy mate, and all the best.

Cheers for that. Good to hear it from other people. I'll see what happens on Friday, and have another chat about the meds

Another Ex-sufferer here, I had a lot of seizures as a kid, with a lot of nasty meds, lucky for me I kinda grew out of it, now haven't had one for 13 ish years.

Where as my Dad developed it in his 30's had a really bad couple of years, then more or less returned to normal.

Its not the end of the world, once they get to the bottom of it and get you on the right meds, it will all be plain sailing, best of luck!

Cheers all again for the kind wishes. Had a bloods taken this morning at the local surgery this morning. I don't mind large needles, but when the nurse says her brother is one of the main competition! You start getting worried when your in another teams worktops, and your stabbed in the arm with one.

Will find out more Friday when I see the consultant. Which happened to be scheduled anyway.

Sorry to hear this, I remember much of the original post. I've just recently realised myself that I may not live forever (or another fiver years) and deeply regret putting things off.

Best of luck to you mate

Cheers. Will find out more tomorrow, should been my last visit to the specialist. Oh well! We will find more tomorrow
