Possibly OT, but I've noticed that while using the online .gov.uk portal thing. Some local authorities such as Lewes district council. Stipulate essential submission material as a tree report! Which can play havoc with a little birch in a conservation area as we don't charge to liase with LA.

To combat this I send a blank document with NO DOCUMENT AVAILABLE. as I feel its unreasonable to expect a report with every request.

I do however understand that its probably a step to prevent people from applying for all kinds of **** when "their Neighbors trees are too closebig"

No need to submit any sort of report for a 211 notification

Yes, I am aware of this and agree. However my point was that Lewes DC Weirdly stipulates a report must be attached whatever the case may be. Even if no damage/ no danger and you just want to reduce a small tree which is either in a conservation area or is TPOd.

Which is mildly frustrating.

Hi All,

just working my through my first Application for work to a tree subject to a TPO Online, I have had the work verbally agreed by local TO.

Basically all sorted, except im a bit stuck on the sketch plan.... is this a rough diagram/map showing location/species ?

does anyone have an example!?

Thanks all

In reply to the Op. When you are making your sketch plan whatever you choose to do be it pen drawing, Google earth screen shot or something fancier. Try to make it enough so as if you were to be handed it you would be able to find the tree.

I've spoken to many TOs and most are extremely grateful for a decent map.

For TPO trees there should be a site plan direct from the council. They, after all, were the ones who put the TPO on in the first place. It's available and most around here have it online. Do a check through the LA website of the address and you may discover a ready made site plan. Sometimes all the trees are handily marked on it too. Print off and add any extras, scan and send. My office does it all the time.
