My previous post regards oregon oil come straight from my local dealers. One has stopped selling it due to the poor quality of the oil.

The new xtorq engines are high revving so needs good quality fully synthetic oil same as any high performance engine. You wouldn't put cheap engine oil in a race bike car boat etc same thing here.

As to husky warranty spec if you use a cheap oil it's not the manufacturers fault if the engine overheats and goes pop. Maybe you should check with your dealer...

It was recommended by someone on hear about a year ago . Something to do with base stocks and ISO ratings . All stuff I don't really understand . I like the smell ....:001_smile:

 

Me it was. There are crap, ok and good oils. There is only one best oil tho as per above.
