How long does mixed fuel last?

so somebody should take responsibility and warn the consumer about this problem when purchasing a new garden machine surely!!!

I always go to great lengths to inform my customers of this issue.

Education of the user results in them being happier with their machinery long term, and of course, promoted the sale of Aspen!

I am the business owner, technician and salesman and have an in depth knowledge of things mechanical, so its second nature for me to pass on the information.

There are many dealer 'showroom salesmen' though, who are still ignorant of the fact themselves, as they have little, or no, workshop experience. All they do is sell the product, not the package.

that is so good to hear, it must be the only direction for future sales the customer is already having good aftersales service before leaving the shop :thumbup:

the aspen dealer maps overloaded i couldnt seem to navigate the website to find a local dealer :confused1: shame really

Its not the best dealer finder, I think they should have one where you just pop in your postcode.

But to be fair, if you enlarge the map the markers become further apart and more distinct.

Remember we can despatch Aspen by carrier, but you will have to have a minimum of 3 cans and pay carriage.

Can anyone tell me what the 100 ingredients of unleaded petrol are please.

Obviously there is no lead:biggrin:

I know there are various additives such as carcinogenic benzene, but are 98 of the ingredients just slightly different fractions from the distillation of the crude oil.

I wish Aspen was only £10 per gallon, then we could all use it, without query.

Is there fuel duty on Aspen? At the moment petrol duty is 58p/litre.

If Aspen has no duty included in the price, then it is very expensive.

If it has 58p/litre duty, then we should lobby the European parliament for the removal of duty on alkylate petrol ready mixed 2 stroke fuel for chainsaw use.

If it is that green how can they argue to point.

Worth a thought perhaps

H-A

In the UK, there is normal fuel duty on Aspen.

Lobbying the European Parliament wouldn't get you anywhere, since it is a matter for the member state (UK) to change duties.

In Sweden, there is no duty on Alkylate fuel (Aspen as well as other brands), and hence it is not as expensive. Furthermore, it is mandated by health and safety regulations that employers supply Alkylate fuel for use in hand-held machinery. This obviously means that a lot more Alkylate fuel is being used, driving the price down and availability up further. Aspen (2T and 4T) is even available at some pumping stations.

Hi All,

We are working on a clearer dealer locator and a post code finder.

If anyone has any problems contact me direct on 07568 108953 or email [email protected]

I am always here to help and with 20 years in garden machinery I only talk facts.

Please recommend your local dealer to stock Aspen as we want better coverage of the UK.

Kind regards

Eddie
