mmmmm, maybe like those firms mentioned that shook up the TO's game, maybe, just maybe the tree giuld will be the firm that shakes up the AA etc?

food for thought, Im in.

When is anyone going to recognise veteran and ecological expertise? Would the tree guild have an assesed ability for "work levels"? Reduction is a skill, ecology/veteran is a skill, so on and so on.

I would like to see some kind of "recognition" for commitment to a specialised form of arboriculture

There already is recognition out there, Tony.

Just set up a monthly direct debit to " The Army of the Twelve Monkey-D's"

In return, you'll get;

a booklet full of "homemade" ecology stickers

some really dubious leftfield advice,

an e-mail list of likeminded lunatics,

a guide to "the" funny handshake,

constant praise and admiration for photos of the fungal kind,

and most importantly a fine second drafted, badly printed certificate.

which can be used for discount for a one size fits all quality "t".

Come join the growing cause, me & Fred meet most last tuesdays of the month, as long as it's not raining.

D

It's true, I really am quite mad

Hi all, hope no objections ot me posting here and this is entirely for infomration (but feel a tad nervous in so doing....still, here goes!)

The AC scheme consultation talked about having 'core' elemnst for ALL ACs, inc. sectional felling/pruning/planting and then possibly additional 'optional' criteria for more speciliast work inc. veteran tree management etc. Another one was cable work and possibly fruit tree pruning.

Not saying this will happen but, as with just about anything at the moment "its' in the melting pot!"

Thanks all....gotta dash!

Paul
