It's an ash tree, was to close to both properties. Why take a tree down just for the fun of it your only taking work away from yourself at least with a reduction the trees still there for more work to be done in years to come.

If its too big for it position, long term i think it would be better to fell and replant with a more suitable species.

i would not want that at the bottom of my garden in 5 years.

i take trees down, when needed, for payment not fun!!

i dont hold up a table tennis bat to get a shape.

that, all be it my opinion looks bloody awful, more like a large rose bush than an ash.

would look better in log shed

I think everyone works in there own way it doesn't always mean its wrong just not how you would do it, I've never had a complaint yet. Everyone has there own opinion. If someone done a reduction like acg128 in my garden I would make them redo it (my opinion)

I'm a freelance climber and work a lot of the uk mainly lincolnshire and surrounding counties.. When working to spec reductions there are no just a bit mores!!! There are no can I just have six more feet out the top... It's done to spec and that's that!!!

I've worked for and been asked to do round overs like yours many times before and my simple reply is... "Sorry but think you've got the wrong climber for this job!!" I've walked away from a few sites and contractors and will stick by my word when I say "I have standards!!!"

To say there's more work in a few years time is because of the way you did the tree is cowboyish unprofessional and down right insulting to the forum IMHO!!
