What else goes in your smoothie Steve? I've been having 3 a morning, but scrambled or omelette(d). I'm not used to shoving that much chow down first thing. I'd much rather drink my breaky!

blueberries, banana, strawberries and coconut milk. It does get a bit pricey, but I found a nice farm shop now that sells frozen mixed fruit which works out a pretty cheap way of doing it.

i'm the same too.....not a big eater first thing, but I can stomach a big smoothie on my way out the door

Sounds good how does the raw egg affect the consistency? I tried it once in a macho protein phase. Was unpleasant. Do you add water? I find the coconut milk thickens smoothies to a yoghurt like texture, plus it's £2 a tin!

I don't mind costly breakfast. If it stops me eating crap throughout the day it isn't really that dear.

I mix it all up good in the smoothie maker with plenty coconut milk...its really not that thick at all.

I buy my coconut milk in 1 litre cartons, its about £1.30 I believe in Tescos...beside the fresh milk. Its probably not as pure as the canned stuff

Have you replaced all your milk with the coconut Steve?

I take it, it tastes coconutty?

Is it good for you or a substitute ?

We still buy milk, mostly for the kids breakfasts and tea. I'm not that into the whole paleo thing that im going to deprive myself of a drop of milk in my tea :)

Yes it is good for you....and I am using it as a substitue in smoothies, don't drink it otherwise, just water.

It doesn't taste too bad on its own, and not overly coconutty

So, on a side note, I have found that the less crap you put in your body, the less gets crapped out, if you catch my drift... I did some research and found this to be true for a lot of others. The body makes so much more use of real food. A lot of waste is peed out instead of pooped.

I have lost 4lbs since Sunday and eat like a king, don't miss any of the takeaways or garbage.
