Prefer a small log pick myself as I've nearly dislocated my wrist with tongs when they didn't release properly but used the smaller 1's for years. If you carnt lift it with them you shouldn't be lifting it, role it save your back!

I opt for the bigger ones on most of the work I do now. The smaller ones which I got with the Husky belt are handy for the thinner stuff.

 

As stated they are that bit closer to the ground so less bending so for a wee chap they are very handy.

 

They are a lot stronger in construction as well so feel a more sturdy tool to use.
