Oregon chain

People make mistakes. Let the seller know you aren't satisfied with the transaction and go on from there. Windsor itself is not some overnight outfit. They have been making chainsaw parts for decades. I have never had any issues with their equipment, and still prefer their bars to Oregon to this day. So, it's not like he baited and switched you with some generic chinese junk, even if you do end up with Windsor. I wouldn't panic.

I prefer windsor speed tips too! but i Have not tried out a sugi yet! also i think that the windsor stuff cuts quicker than the oregon, just dosnt hold a edge for as long as the oregon, although that just my opinion! but as you say its not what you ordered like ordering a 18" bar and ending up with a 20!

As soon as you send the seller the "item not as described" message via the ebay system ebay opens a case. We just received a courtesy refund from ebay for an item my wife bought after we received the wrong item and the seller has not been replying very promptly. If he is packaging Windsor chain as Oregon what is happening to the chain that was originally in the packaging ?

"Blank" Oregon boxes are availiable to dealers that make loops from Oregon chain reels I believe.

The one that wrote the Windsor designation on the (Oregon) box likely didn't know that the loop was going to be sold as an Oregon one - we just don't know what happened internally at the sellers end....

Anyway, the seller ultimately is responsible, no doubt about that!

Windsor Speed Tip bars are nice, as far as I know - but that has nothing to do with this topic.

Anyway, I would strongly have disliked getting a 20" bar if I ordered an 18" - and I have nothing good to say about Windsor chain in .325, only negative.

But what if you ordered an Oregon 20" powermatch bar and got a Windsor 20" speed tip?
