I'm glad I asked on here, if its only 3 ton or so for the stem and big branches, the guy saying 30 for the two must have been in drama mode.

Yes burn the lot would be good, I'd like to save my pennies for ten acres out the way somewhere.

When we dont want something we cut and stack to manageable lengths neatly at road side . Over night the timber fairys have had it away most times ....

 

 

Just like magic[/b], works every time! Conversely, after a nice Ash (for example), if it doesn't all go back to the yard on the day it's left in the biggest possible chunks to give the timber fairies a hernia!!

Have you same where to chip down ?? I could do a day of chipping for you not sure on cost of ferry though

thanks for the offer, but the ferry is nearly 100 just for my transit, so if you're towing a chipper too wouldn't be worth it, handy to meet localish people though, maybe one day I'll

get something that wants a subby climber for a day or two.
