They did burn surprisingly well but left a massive quantity of ash behind. About 3 times the normal volume when burning wood, cant rally work out why that should be.

Most paper contains a higher percentage of china clay than wood fiber these days to both save cost and make a smoother, easier to print surface.

Did not know that, thanks for the advice, magazines were glossy as well.
