Hey,

I am studying arboriculture at college and i am in need of some gear.

Mostly just need to get chainsaw boots and trousers climbing gear will have to come later.

Was wondering what you guys think would be best to get i need something reliable and cheapish.

Cheers

I use pfanner stretch air boots and trousers but it's very expensive (also very very good)....

A good pair of hiax boots and stihl hi-flex trousers are probably your best bet as a cheap reliable starting point

Hope this helps

Stay safe and cut wood!

I agree with the hi flex and the cheap blue haix as a starting point for basic PPE they're comfortable and reliable

I think that while the hi flex are very comfy trousers, they don't last very well. Husqvarna make some cracking strides, and my pair or Oregon waipoiua (can't spell it properly so I just threw some vowels together) seem to be pretty hard wearing.

Think i have the same?!?!? Anyway purchased over a year ago and going strong still, cheap compared with others but almost as comfy as my hiking boots, will be buying another pair when needed.

Mine did come with some metal spikes on the sole but are removed easily with an allen key as will snag when wearing spikes and leave scars on limbs.

I must of tryed 10 different boots in different sizes and these were by far the best for me.
