I have been looking into the same thing. From the advice given etc. find a local turner or sell on ebay.

Cut them into blanks say from 2" to 7" or say that you can cut to order.

A piece at2m by 8" average may go for £50-£60 but as said you'd might make more by selling in blanks.

O its also easier to postage in smaller pieces rather than a length 👍

Yeah thanks, it wasn't a massive tree but had to be cut into handy sizes to carry out, biggest piece is roughly 2 foot by 8 inches dia, rest of the trunk and a few bits of cord down to 2 inches, seems a shame to just log it up, think I will try e bay.

Careful

I experimented by putting 4 boards of Yew on ebay with no reserve 6ft long and 12ins wide and from 1 to 2 ins thick ,just did it to test the water and see what they fetched

£6.51 for all 4 Its a difficult market at the minute

Best place is the firewood pile. Theoretically I'm sitting on a fortune in yew, but nobody wants to offer decent money.

I think it was gensetsteve on here who said he likes to play a game with wood turners, stuffing yew and blackthorn into the processor and watching them try desperately to yank it back out!
