I am having a problem with the large grub screw controlling the overall revs on the carb rattling loose while in use. Does any one know if this is fixable without completely changing the whole carb. Carb is a walbro model ? Any help on this would be great,,,,,,,,,,,

As Spud say, nail varnish is the normal sealer for threads and welch plugs in carburettors. It is actually a cellulose paint and as such is resistant to the solvents in petrol.

For the sake of my reputation I make sure I get my daughter to buy mine and make sure that I only have the clear one, rather than pretty pink.

I think 'Plastic Tape For Engineers' may be dissolved by the solvents.

I have had this with a farmboss saw before but with the high low screws.

I didn't use nail varnish as I didn't have any. Will have to send the wifey put with a shopping list now.

Will be sure to keep it well hidden from customers tho. Lol. May get some funny looks.
