I was was thinking about this comment last night, but it wasn’t until the early hours that it came to me. TLM is very much like marriage then?

I bought something like this from a garage ages ago, thinking that by using the macro lens clip-on attachment I'd be able to get some better close ups of gills and pores (and to stop Mr H moaning about the quality of my photos:D)

 

Really simple to use, clip on the lens over the camera lens of the phone and off you go.

The attachment. Also came with another 'Wide angle' attachment.

I got a new microscope slide, it's a section through the axillary bud of a sycamore. The second picture is taken in cross polarised ight and the bright areas are likely to be cellulose. The gritty bits are likely to be starch granules.
