Nice pics David. I have been lucky enough to have been working in ancient oak woods for the last four weeks (almost exclusively petrea Monkeyd btw:001_smile:) on the banks of the river Fal, cutting down sycamore, and have had the privileige of witnessing the wood wake up.:001_smile:

Anyone heard the expression "Oak before ash, you'll get a splash. Ash before oak, you'll get a soak" as a predictor of how wet the summer will be?

 

Was just about to post this myself, hopefully a good one this year:001_cool:
