HI MARC what bars on yours thanks jon

We run a 25 and 30" both pull well, we've been through this though Jon:biggrin:

You can offer me lorry loads of cider but we will never part with it.

I honestly think a Husky 395 will be just as good maybe better? and variety is a good thing. Maybe buy a 661 in a couple of years once they have really got it right.

  • 2 weeks later...

I went into oiur local dealer yesterday looking for a new biggish saw and was told that the 661 had been withdrawn from sale and that will be replaced for the time being with the 660. The dealer wasn't told why it was being withdrawn, simply that they had to send back their held stock of 661s and that a fresh batch of 660s would be made available at some point.

I've always run Stihls, but they seem to be losing the plot just now.

Hi all,

I'm somewhat disappointed to learn of these issues along with Stihls less than satisfactory replies when called, their shoddy response will harm long term reputation if it hasnt already.

Surely the customer has a legal right under the sale of goods act for protection from poor quality - ie 'not fit for purpose'.

see The Sale of Goods Act Explained | Consumer Information for overview.

Unfortunately these days it seems that the unsuspecting purchasers are the 'beta testers' on a new version of anything & that is not acceptable.

Just my thoughts & I hope it gets sorted out. That said, I suspect Husqvarna must be watching with interest...
