Forwarding trailers with cranes

I have a palms crane and a polish trailer from Halse of honiton and for the big lumps I also take the bolsters out and with a wire strop looped under the log and attached to the trailer it will roll the log on

A technique well known to old woodmen, draymen and seafarers

known as "parbuckling"

Farma g2 will out lift and out perform botex, hands down. Better control options and also drive. Who ever thinks they are for occasional use obviously knows nothing about forwarding.

You've run a gen2 long enough to prove that?

I'll admit they look superb but the abilities of a forwarding trailer have nothing to do with an operators forwarding knowledge; that's about timber, not machinery as such. 99% of timber forwarded per se is by purpose built anyway fella.

Extending crane and steering drawbar are really worth their extra money, my tractor and trailer would be still stuck in the woods now if it weren't for the steering!!

I agree makes trailer a lot better all round, ability to steer round obstacles, walk out of I'm stuck! reversing fun, and lots more
