Can't remember of hand but some where in the region of £600 for the wood

About £2000 ish plus painting but not by me. They was priced by someone else to make in hardwood at £5000 which was too much for the client. The gate opening was about 8ft square

This is my effort. Made from old fencing rails and 3x2. As you can tell I'm not a professional gate maker.

I really enjoyed making it and I hope it puts a smile on your faces.

I don't think I've set the bar too high so does anyone else have pictures of gates they have made?

I like that, good idea. If you dont mind i might copy that idea next year, when i make a couple of show gates.:thumbup:

Here's a pair of gates I made last week 2m wide opening 1.8 high, not very stylish but I think neat enough to match the rest of the fencing

Good honest gates. I would be very pleased with those.

Can I ask how you fixed the ledges please?
