This is my effort. Made from old fencing rails and 3x2. As you can tell I'm not a professional gate maker.

I really enjoyed making it and I hope it puts a smile on your faces.

I don't think I've set the bar too high so does anyone else have pictures of gates they have made?

A fine effort mate, I guess the strainer it's hanging on is well off the plumb going by your hinge settings?

Would put my money on horses, if they're not pulling out grass by the roots they're breaking fences, nice animals!😣

Yes, the little one in the picture works his way around a field scratching his backside on every post until he finds one that moved a bit.

Then he keeps backing up to it swaying from side to side. I've seen him with rear legs almost horizontal. He can tell when he has loosened a rail so then he turns round and pushes up and down with his neck. When the rails off he limbos underneath.

It's a good bit of entertainment.

The last fence we put up to keep him in looked like something of Jurassic Park.

i would get a mains electric fencer and use high tentile wire, 2 strand works but it need to be visiblable (if it not got any thing semi solid looking behind it) so run you old tape along side the high tentile, as the conduuctors in the tape aways brake, so the high tentile is acting as the conductor, lasts and it is easy to hang a real off for strip grasing , though get an over sized unit as rugs can act as an insulator , and they also respet the fence more,

ps mains are cheeper to run and more reliable
