can any one recommend me a good walkie talkie?

We have the midland ones for the stein ptt

 

Came in great when on holiday last week. Had no mobile signal so when I went of walking with the dog I could radio the misses to come pick me and the dog up. Worked all across lizard pennisular in Cornwall and she was indoors and I was miles across hilly country

Does anyone remember these? distance is controlled by the length of wire....just need the matching Johnny Seven gun!!!!
