It's not glass! It's ceramic... I only learnt that when I went to see our local guy (John the Glass) to ask him to cut new windows for my stove. Cheap as chips, don't pay too much, ask if they are supplying glass or ceramic to see if they are pucker. Thought I'd do the replacement myself rather than put the doors into local wood burner place - we've got a big, old, Woodwarm, securing bolts were seized and needed drilling out and re-tapping, replaced the ropes etc, bit of a hassle but better than paying 'shop' prices.

Nice link! Too much detail for me, if John the Glass says it's ceramic I'm just repeating what he told me, chemistry not my bag! I've seen John handle sheets of glass like he's folding paper, if I tried it there'd be fingers & claret all over the floor - in my book, he's a Demi-god of the glass world, he could tell me it's made of sugar and I'd believe him ):0)
