£400 is steep for an 84 reg with no MOT- it had better be spotless on the rust front.

I think that age will be a 2.0 litre diesel engine, not the much admired later 2.8 litre.

Tread carefully and be ready to walk away.

I've just bought one from a friend that has been running 3 for his business along with a newer disco. I pick it up tomorrow morning, its a 2.8td 3 door 5 seat M reg just had 12 months mot put on it not that it needed much just a tyre, exhaust tip and tennis ball size weld on the inner sill. I've only got it for the towing capability which I am lead to believe is outstanding!! And all for £900 I'm looking forward to testing it!!

great trucks. look out for the rear cross member rusting out and inner rear wheel arch and boot floor.

great off road and great for towing.

and if its a 94 then it should be the independant model which is a comfier drive.

Picked up the fourtrac today drove it 25 miles to mot station. Bit bouncy ride but can live with it.as only to lug logs about.lets hope not to long a fail list from the mot station. Mate says we,ll roll it on its side to weld up:biggrin::scared
