Be very aware of the risk of flying debris with these David, I know of a lad who had a stone pass thru his shin. Leg guards are a must with them!!

 

And when the outermost chain link wears out it flies off with potentially phenomemal consequences...

 

What you want is one of these... simply the best for pulping the material. Unlike the Stihl shredder blade this is more aggresive yet safe and unlike a 3 point brushknife, smashes the stuff up without lots of lifting the working head of the brushcutter / clearing saw.:001_smile:

There is an awesome attachment my mate got in italy, which looks like the one on the other thread, but it takes loops of about 9 links of old chaisaw chain, turned inside-out as it were- ie cutting with the drive link not the cutter. They seem to last for ever, and the result is awesome. Ill try and get some info off him.
