Well, what can I add, except thanks to those for coming along and participating in the fun comp climb. Thanks to Liam (LSD) for his cooperation, and well done for retrieving the gear off the Plane in the pouring rain. Nice to see some brave souls travel along from London (Justin and family, Rich & family), and thank you all for leaving the beers and bar in my capable hands. The party atmosphere kicks off in the evening, once the punters have gone home, and drinks from the "Honesty bar" were enjoyed by many. Then we retired to a tipi for a welcome warm and listen to some "music" then back to get the fire going, chat into the wee small hours. The rain today spoiled the climbs, and dampened the spirit, nice to see testcricket01 & Giles Hill make the effort despite the miserable weather. Thanks once again everyone who turned out over the weekend, these get-togethers are a good way of socialising, picking up tips, and generally having fun, so why not go along to your nearest one next time:thumbup:

Just got back had, a great time. The boy wants to be a tree surgeon now as he is apparently a "bear good" climber.

Good to put some more names to faces and have another beer with Andy.

I will get some of my pics up soon.

Who do I owe the Stein helmet to for the comp climb?

I think (Steve has the final results) its MattyF, as no-one climbed today due to weather. I think Liam (LSD) deserves something for his climb, as he has never climbed against the clock, and against such formidable () opposition!! Well done Steve for setting the well-chosen targets, made it interesting to watch too.

Thanks for the tree climbing lesson Steve, I really enjoyed the experience, even though all the strength from my arms was gone before I got 10ft up. I reckon it must be satisfying when it all comes naturally.

It was good to meet Jonsie, Jonsie Jnr and Andy C, briefly before the heavens opened...
