I had some chunky winter tyres put on my iveco the other day

I've glanced at the links earlier but it didn't show any details.

 

When I tried (years ago) to put 4x4 type tyres on my cabstar, I used some Camac 4x4.

Then when it came to MOT time I was told they were not legal on that vehicle cos they needed to b 8 ply and most 4x4 are 6 ply apparently.

The rated loads per tyre were actually higher on the 4x4 tyre than the 8ply one but....

Anyway, just check what they are legal with.

They should be c rated for commercials I always thought. If there are issues come mot time what are the issues regarding insurance etc. I looked into this for a mate of mine when he needed new tyres for his dyna so spoke to another mate of mine who's a mot inspector and he advised not to do it. Each to there own but I would not do it as other people drive my vehicle s so don't want any issues with that.

All I know is the kingpin/malesta/insa turbo etc are remoulds my Insa special traks are only rarated to 960 kg, I think my old bgf A/T were 1065 kg but they were old tyres
