Low tech IBC tipper

Sorry not really much to look at but this has just worked a treat with zero expenditure (which I like )

I thought about all sorts of contraptions I even started building a wooden scale model to get a feel for how a tipper might work best but then why bother when I already own a very good tipping mechanism.

Nice

Sadly I don't have the lift height on our loader for that to work.

Just been out to deliver the load and the customer said " O that's too much wood can I only have half a load" Grrr not developed a way to put them back in the IBC from the trailer. Looks like it's back to hand unloading.

Should not need that much height.

Lift loader (to max if necc), tip forks to rotate IBC forward, even if the forks are touching the bed of the trailer, the IBC should be "teetering" on the point of balance.

Manually tip IBC, onto front side, then simply "crowd" the forks back up to lift the IBC base upwards.

AH!

I forgot the check chain/rope needed to prevent the IBC tipping too far/ allow the toes to lift it back up when crowded back.

gibber, mutter an twitch

May need furthur development:confused1:

or a proper loader:lol:

It's got potential but not all the crates have the metal pallet base some are wood or plastic both of which don't give you the front pivot point. Not too keen on knocking seven bells out of the trailer floor as it goes past the point of no return. And slapped wrists for taking the micky out of our little loader. It lifts more than spec on a daily basis :001_tongue::biggrin:

Got to admit I thought I had thought about every way there is to tip a crate from a loader but you found a new one
