any advice on new boots

if you want some climbing boots, look at some approach shoes, they are far better to climb in.

Wayne, do aku do chain protection?

 

I have an old pair of their walking boots, and they're lovely, but I wouldn't be allowed to wear non ppe boots.

I got a pair of these SIP boots about 6 weeks ago - so far I've been very happy with them, very comfortable and haven't had cold or wet feet yet

No they don't just well built and toe tector.must say though have cllipp'd mine a few times and no probs but understand were you coming from.

If it was my call I wouldn't mind losing the chain protection. I tend not to saw my feet if I can help it.

 

My meindl wood walkers are due for replacement after eighteen months, I'll be going for the air streams next

Ya if anyone needs to replace there boot on a regular basis because of cutting them to bits best find another profession.
