While we are talking about bars (espeshily you mr timber cutter dartmore) do you know of a 36" bar to fit a dcs9010? Can't seem to find one

I swapped out the bar mounting bolts for m8 studs and opened out out the oil holes on a oregan bar to suit, seems to work fine

thanks :001_smile:

Also, trying to work out what the similar husky model would be? eg;

Husky 550xpg = Dolmar 5105

Husky 560xpg = Dolmar 6100

??.

and having trouble finding info to compare the specifications/ fuel use, chain speed, etc

....but definitely interested, especially if dolmars are more reliable. Don't care if they weigh a little more!

According to the German test facility KWF the torque and power specs are as follows.

Husqvarna 550

Max power 2.7 kW at 10500 rpm

Max torque 2.7 Nm at 7750 rpm

Dolmar 5105

Max power 2.9 kW at 10200 rpm

Max torque 3.2 Nm at 7000 rpm

In their manual Dolmar states lower/on the safe side numbers than tested by KWF. Max power 2.8 kW and 3.1 Nm.

Excellent info, thanks Wolter :001_smile:... now getting very serious about buying a dolmar instead of a husky. Did you come across any info on fuel consumption?

DOLMAR - PS-5105

and

DOLMAR - PS-6100

http://www.dolmarpowerproducts.com/productcatalog/chain_saws_gasoline/ps-6100/PS-6100.pdf

For starters the PS-6100 is at current exchange rates £305.25 plus shipping at roughly £80-100 and import duty at roughly £60-80 = worst case £485 inc. No vat reclaim tho on US import.

5105 was £286 but prices have actually gone down !!!

Imagine being in the US buying a saw in the 5105 class for less than £300; rip off britain!

Cheers, but could do with seeing some Dolmar 5105 & 6100 figures to compare with other manufacturers.

Today, for some strange reason the 6100 isn't shown on the dolmar website (pretty sure it was there yesterday), and the 550XP specs aren't available on the Husqvarna website either!

Are they reading this thread??!
