Hello, anyone know when the new Stihl ms 261 c-m M-Tronic saw will be released in Ireland and the U.K? It seems to be available in most of

western Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. It's featured on the U.K Stihl website so i'd say it's release date is soon to be announced. I'm going to

splash out on it as i have the 241 M-Tronic and thats a fabulous saw.

I usually buy my gear online from abbeygardensales.co.uk or skylandequipment.com but neither site have the new 261 C-M yet. I found it on scottisharb.com but it's out of stock and on richmondsgroundcare.co.uk who will ship to Ireland for an amazing 620 Euro. I'm sorely tempted!

I had a good look at the 550xp before i bought my 241, i own a 372xp which is a great saw so i have nothing against Husqvarna. Having used the 241 for a while i think the build quality of the Stihl's is a bit better, There's a bit more meat on the bone if you know what i mean. The air filters on the new Stihl's are far superior as well. The only downside to the 261/261 C-M is their a bit heavy for 50cc saws.
