Stopping smoking

i gave up when i went to indonesia surfing for a month, the cigs out there are rank so i stoped, 1 yr down the line and still going strong

I started and stopped a few times, haven't smoked for 5 or 6 years, I found the whole 'stopping smoking' thing unhelpful it sort of like putting it off.

 

Best thing I found was don't smoke, then it's finished. Just put your mind to it and you'll be right, soon you won't miss it and you'll feel better too.

keep it up vilheim.im nxt bro and yes its never easy but the benefits are a major plus.my problem is drinking and smoking but i need to slow down on that so its the 2 birds thing,gd luck mate

I'm glad i gave up at 15 before it really got me. i was an occasional smoker but i was slowly increasing the number i smoked. i git into it through smoking weed, gave that up and the fags followed very quickly.

 

i do have a sugar (and general sweet thing) tooth which i'm trying to curb.

Ive giving up smoking for 2 years now. Will never go back to it absolutely no reason to. waste of money, less apetite, loss of fitness waste of money again dont get me started. lol.

 

As for giving up i no depending on how long you have smoked etc it can be alot harder but the reality of it is all you have to do is not put a cigarette to your mouth. Thats it. Simple when you think of it like that.

 

The biggest motivator though is when you feel the benefects directly from giving up i think.

my dad smoked for 30+yrs, and just woke up one morning and said he was stopping, and never smoked since, he gave up drinking as well in the same week (it was getting bit of a problem!) Im trying to get into the right mindset of giving up myself, but keep finding stupid little excuses not to stop, really want the mrs to give up with me, but she wont!!(my point proved!)
