Thought that might tickle you :001_tongue:

 

I actually took that photo and it made all the nationals.

 

Anchored off on lower branches to get downward force on the thin branch rather than lateral force :001_smile:

 

Up there for thinking, down there for dancing

I use that high in the canopy to get far out without lateral loading, I was playing about there though, It was only about 10ft up :001_smile:

 

Your actually doubling your loading at your high point. I'm not a fan of the system as you could actually induce branch faliure through it's use

were you just playing around with different ideas, or is that the way you do most of your stuff.

 

Totally unecesary just mucking about with some ideas. I usually just climb like most normal people, but all these ideas and little tricks are good to know and store in the old mental toolbox as occasionally maybe once a year it'll help do a job thaty little bit easier and safer.
