I like the 353, had one years ago when it was part of the XP range and it was a good saw. Got a newer one now and still like them. Doesn't rev up quite the same as a 346, but for a ground saw next to the chipper I'd say it would be fine.

Yh I didn't say whey were bad, probably a better chipper saw as they don't have autotune so will tick over but still nicely balanced etc

mmm decisions decisions might go for 560 or another 550 we were looking at something comparable to a 357 which from what i can gather the 353 aint nowhere near

I had one in and once I had it running thought something was wrong with it compared to my ported 346XP - they are OK but they don't go like the 346XP - the transfer ports are not as wide so it is like a lethargic 346XP.

Don't go for the 550! The 560xp is about the closest to the 357 u will get. But u can get smaller saws if ur just snedding out branches for the chipper. 353 is ok
