Does anyone else do fencing alongside tree work?

Hi all been a busy few days,

As I am a qualified carpenter/joiner as well as having my tree tickets I made the decision to advertise for fencing when I started, just wondering who else does fencing and if you like it!?

I've often found in local villages etc a tree job ends up as a fencing job aswell!

Here's a few pics of today's job and a few others, the lady now wants another stretch of 65meters of featheredge in the new year! Happy days!!

Nice work:thumbup1: My main work now is fencing , but I also do small tree work ,hedgeing, etc, much prefer the fencing side though.

Very nice fencing. I do fencing when I can in the summer months when the tree work slows down. Stock fencing is my favourite.

Yep I do, tree company I used to work for did also.. counts for around 20+ % of my work as a guess.. lots in the summer, also we remove a lot of hedges and replace with fencing..

 

not as keen on doing it as tree work but more knock-ons from neighbour's I find..

I try to do all sorts really, used to work for a quite large fencing contractor but got a bit bored with 600-700m of stock fencing every day so I left, I do however enjoy the domestic jobs, nice work by the way

I do fair bit of fencing, about 12000 meters of stock fencing a year plus all the post and rail for the equine types- not so much domestic because I prefer the countryside fencing, nice places and work with machinery which tends to spur the job along a bit.

Do you do stock fencing josh? Grappling with barb wire can become a bit tedious sometimes particularly on awkward sites where it all has to be unrolled by hand

I do both, they complement each other, share equipment and as said one leads to the other.

A very small amount!

I've priced a large post and rail job but haven't herd from then, guessing I've lost the job by now!

I've not got a digger or tractor that's why I stick to domestic as opposed to agricultural fencing mate
