3 seats up front.

Something been puzzling me, as I need at least 3 seats in my new wagon.

If a vw transporter is allowed 3 seats and even a Peugeot expert which is quite small. Then why can't things like single cab 4x4 pickups have 3 seats unless you import the Toyota?

Any ideas.

I think it shows who is buying new pickups, mainly well paid reps and businessmen who are mostly driving solo.

 

Perfectly possible to get a bench seat in, but it means the driver has less room for his right elbow.

saw a pickup on ebay cant remember what it was but had the rear bench out a car fitted in it

 

had a mk2 hilux with a bench got 4 fowk and two dogs in it one day!

Can get a land rover defender with a tipper on the back, they are standard 3 seaters. Not much room but more than make up for it in grunt.

In a labdy the middle seat is useless, but in a transporter/expert its fine.

fiat multipla, Honda FRv and the new berlingo's/partners can have 3 seats up front.

 

Unfortunately this partner only has 2..

If that partner had 3 seats, 4wd and loads more power and clearance, it would be perfect.
