i have a ms600 with the 25 inch bar.

i have work coming up where i need to cut over 4 feet across for firewood.

should i go with a different bar or upgrade to ad the big saw to the heap? its usually beech i cut.

 

HI MATE how many beech have you got to do then you get all way with your 660 if it 1/2 beech thanks jon :thumbup:

25" bar will cut 4'2" diameter logs, so you could upgrade to 30" bar to cut 5', this would be fine on your saw, if you don't wanna buy an 880, otherwise, go with an 880 on a 42" bar, which would give a 6' max cut

ive a couple of weeks work , not a bad earner, id have the saw out of it, i can mess around with cutting from both sides, just wondering is the 880 a really impressive saw with the bar buried??

 

HI MATE if you only got 1/2 beech to do then i wood run the 660 on a 25" bar then just cube it out I've it like this in the past mate the 880 a very good saw but how many time are you going to use it my 880 come out this week thanks thats on a wind blow oak thanks jon :thumbup:
