I have recently got some vids and wantto edit them as they are abit long and i just want the felling shots can any one reccomend a good software?

If you have a pc you may already have windows movie maker.

From the top down...Avid media composer, Avid Xpress dv pro, Final cut pro, I movie, movie maker. You can get a free version of avid, but beware, its a monster big programme requiring commitment on your part to learn how to use. I've lost years inside avid world.

If its really simple editing and adding apiece of music and some titles (I know that seems like all there is to editing, but it's not) then go for FCP and below, the cheaper the prog, the easier it is to master generally. Let us know what you get in the end and show your stuff. good luck.

sony vegas pro 8 cost around $549.95 according to there website.

windows movie maker, for basic/simple editing, job done!

have a look at start menu > all programmes > accessories > entertainment be somewere along those bases.
